Liberty SCC Minutes 1/13/26

• Call to order
• Review and approval of the November 11th meeting’s minutes
  • Discussion on Digital Safety Committee from Mark P.
    • Michelle Tapia Counselor
    • Victoria Palauni Community Center Coordinator
    • Fiona will send spring 2025 digital safety night ideas to Mark

• Revise Rules of Order
  • Paragraph regarding what a motion is
  • Audit from Utah school lands trust to include three things in Rules of Order
    • Kristen Valdez motion acceptance, Mark P second, passed
• Safe Routes- invite Erica Carlson to talk about safety in ballpark
  • Mark P motion, Suzy E. second, passed to keep it as is and invite Council Member Carson to a meeting.
• Chair announced SCC leadership training on 1/24/26 and let people know they can get more information from the announcement on ParentSquare
• Digital Safety Wellness Night - Mark Polichette is our SCC member lead on this and will be meeting with Victoria Palauni (CLC) and Michelle Tapia (counselor) to move forward with the planning.
• Remainder of 2025-2026 school year - and confirmed the existing calendar
• Chair called for any open agenda items –
  • The council discussed the possibility of forming a traffic committee
  • Suzi Esteban motioned to form a traffic safety committee, Nasra Mollaim seconded and the motion passed
  • Chair Fiona Robinson Hill asked is someone wanted to chair the committee and Juan Carlos Macedo offered to chair.
  • The committee will collect ideas and report back to the SCC.
