Wednesday, March 6 from 2:30 to 4:30 pm in the Cafeteria.  Clothing and other items will be available for the taking so please remind your students.

Tomando Control de su Salud Class:  This is a 6 week class for individuals dealing with cronic health issues, class is taught in spanish and open to the community.  Classes begin Wednesday, February 13 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. 

In the works:  Mommy & Me Literacy Group, Refugee English Classes with child care and our "Cooks in the Kitchen" afterschool class in partnership with SLArts and an Afterschool Learning Lab.

If you are a certified teacher and would like to work after school please let me know.  We're  looking for someone to run the Afterschool Learning Lab for Liberty and Clayton students (former Liberty students)

CLC News & Update!

 Liberty Flu and Mini Fair:  Tuesday, October 30 from 1:00 to 6:30 pm.  Intermountain Health Clinic is providing Flu shots for free to students 18 years and younger on Medicaid or uninsured, free for insured adults and $15.00 for uninsured adults. BMI screenings, HEAT Assistance Program, DWS, CHC will be giving out gift bags, Auch - CHC Case Workers will be providing am Arts & Craft table for students interested in making a Trick or Treat bag.  Afterschool activities provided for students and families. 
 

Horizonte ESL Class: Classes offered Monday through Friday from 8:15 to 12:45 pm.  New classes begin every 6 weeks, if you want to refer parents or someone you know is interested please have them go to Horizonte to register.  New session begins Monday, October 29, 2018.

Empowering Parents English Class:  ELSC is offering FREE classes on Tueday's and Thursday's in room #1024 from 5:30 to 7:00 pm  No registration is required prior to class, just send them in! Please encourage your student to support parent learning.  Children are welcome to attend with parents

Monthly Food Distribution:  Wednesday, November 7 from 2:30 to 4:30 pm.  Employees from Kodiak Cakes will be our volunteer partner this month to assist with the food distribution, we ask all volunteers to be on site from 2:00 to 4:30 pm. 

Parents & Pastries:  Please encourage your families to come join us, Friday, November 2 from 8:15 to 9:15 am.  This is a wonderful opportunity to getting to know individuals and their families.  We want to make they feel welcome in the CLC and to keep them updated on what is happening and how they can be involved.  Agenda Topics:  Introduction to our Liberty School Counselors.  Overview: what they do, which grade levels they serve and how to contact them directly with questions or concerns.

Basic Zumba: Last Class scheduled for Tuesday, October 30.

Zumba Toning & Healthy Blends:  TBA

Women's Support Group:  Each month we offer a FREE session directed by a phychologist from Intermountain Health.  Our next group will be held on Wednesday, November  from 11:30 to 12:30 pm in room #1023.  We will talk, listen and share current problems that we have to confront as women.

*Living Well with Chronic Conditions:  Free 6 week workshop discussions will focus on managing ongoing symptoms, problem solving, relation techniques, being physically active, using good nutrition choices, working with your healthcare professional, finding sage ways to communicate and much more...  Session Dates: May 24, 31, and June 7, 14, 21 and 28 from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m.  CLC room #1023.
